Stainless Steel Tees Classification And Production Process
At present, the Stainless Steel Weld Tee used in the market mainly includes welded stainless steel tees and extruded stainless steel tees. There are essential differences in the production processes of these two types of stainless steel tees. The following are the production processes of these two types of stainless steel tees:
1. Extruded stainless steel tees: The usual production processes include hydraulic bulging and hot pressing. Both of these production processes make the steel pipe section plastically deform according to the tee mold without destroying the metal structure, thereby producing the designed tee.
2. Welded stainless steel tees: welded from multiple steel parts, this type of stainless steel tees can be divided into three types: elbow type, right angle type and flat weld. Their appearance shapes are different, but the welding process is basically the same, except that the shapes of the welded steel parts are different.
The hot pressing forming of tees is to flatten the tube billet larger than the diameter of the tee to about the size of the tee diameter, and open a hole at the location of the stretched branch pipe; the tube billet is heated and placed in the forming die, and the punch die for stretching the branch pipe is installed in the tube billet; the tube billet is radially compressed under the action of pressure, and the metal flows in the direction of the branch pipe during the radial compression process and forms the branch pipe under the stretching of the punch die. The whole process is formed by the radial compression of the tube billet and the stretching process of the branch pipe. Unlike the hydraulic bulging tee, the metal of the hot pressing tee branch pipe is compensated by the radial movement of the tube billet, so it is also called the radial compensation process.
Tees can be divided into metal materials and non-metal materials according to the material. Metal tees include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc. Threaded tees are produced according to malleable cast iron standards, and the standard implemented is GB/12459-2005. Non-metallic tees include PVC, UPVC, PPR, etc. According to the connection method, they can be divided into two types: snap-on and threaded. According to the shape, they can be divided into T-type and Y-type.
Tees in pipelines refer to three pipe interfaces. Tees are divided into mechanical tees, grooved reducing tees, grooved mechanical tees, and ordinary tees; tees can be divided into pressed tees, forged tees, butt-welded tees, and cast tees according to the manufacturing method. Tees are divided into two types according to their shapes, equal-diameter tees and reducing tees. Equal-diameter tees have three ports of the same size, while reducing tees have three ports of different sizes. Tees in pipelines are divided into mechanical tees, grooved tees, grooved mechanical tees, and ordinary tees; tees can be divided into pressed tees, forged tees, butt-welded tees, and forged tees according to their manufacturing methods. Tees can be divided into carbon steel tees, stainless steel tees, and alloy steel tees according to their materials.
